11 Days Discovery of the South

DAY 1: ARRIVAL FLIGHT –ANTANANARIVO  

A guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign bearing your name. After doing some briefings about the trip, we will go directly to Antsirabe, the third largest city in Madagascar.

DAY 2: ANTSIRABE – RANOMAFANA

After breakfast we continue on National Road number seven towards Ranomafana National Park. During our trip we will meet different local people and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area. Once in Ranomafana, we plan to take a night walk to observe many frogs, chameleons, night lemurs and other animals.

DAY 3: NATIONAL VISIT RANOMAFANA PARK

Take part in a full day of exploration in this Rainforest National Park, which is one of the largest rainforests in Madagascar. Several species of lemurs, birds, plants and waterfalls can be observed. In the late afternoon, you can relax by swimming in the natural spring pool or discover the botanical garden to observe more chameleons and beautiful gardens.

DAY 4: RANOMAFANA – AMBALAVAO

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Ambalavao. During our journey, we will pass by the town of Fianarantsoa, the capital of the Betsileo tribe. We will take our meal there and continue. Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Ambalavao.

DAY 5: AMBALAVAO – RANOHIRA

For the morning, we have breakfast and go to the Antemoro paper making workshop, as well as a silk weaving workshop, before going to Ranohira. Explore Anja reserve and its lemurs, then return to the road. Installation at Isalo Ranch or similar. Take a moment to contemplate the sunset at the Isalo Window.

DAY 6: RANOHIRA

After breakfast, we go hiking in the Isalo National Park: explore an imposing mountain with sometimes surreal landscapes, with its pools and waterfalls.

DAY 7: RANOHIRA – TULEAR – IFATY

Breakfast and drive to Tulear: discovery of the Bara area, nomadic zebu breeders, then the Bush kingdom and thorns, and the famous Mahafaly tombs and their steles. After visiting the Tulear shell market, we head to Ifaty.

DAY 8 AND 9: IFATY

Make the most of your half-board stay. It is possible to make visits such as the baobabs forest and the turtle village, or simply to enjoy the sea while enjoying swimming and diving.

DAY 10: IFATY- TULEAR-ANTANANARIVO – Domestic flight

Have breakfast and set off for the airport to catch a flight to Antananarivo. . Once arrived in Antananarivo, the representative of the agency welcomes customers.

DAY 11: ANTANANARIVO – RETURN FLIGHT

To finish this circuit South, we will make a tour of the city of Antananarivo. We will have the opportunity to visit the craft market, the largest market in town and the historical sites of Antananarivo, to discover the history of the Malagasy kingdom.

Transfer to Ivato airport to board the international flight.
